@qagggy.bsky.social It weirds me out to have entry fees to markets, where the sole point of entering them is already to spend money.

Also that sausage looks delicious. :-)

Clearly I spent some of my day today doing Very Important Things like making more screen savers. 😂🤣

OR I can do collections through Calibre, but then the ownership of that information resides on my computer, not the device [which doesn't fit usage]. Hmmmm.

It's all fixable with enough twiddling -- switching to KOReader surely fixes it, as does fiddling with getting wifi working on the device […]

Though, one thing I'm noticing with the k4: It will re-open the book you were just reading, but if you go back to the book list, there's no way to order by what you last opened. Which is annoying when I'm in the middle of 2-3 books at any given time.

My first thought was to use collections, but […]

Because, like any phishing scheme, the sheer volume of tries mean some of them will work. And many of them are QUITE good at impersonating bills.

Update: Got #koreader on it, but not currently loving the book view. It seems to be only folders I have to click into, not a book list of everything I have.

Thinking I may pull it off and just use with Kindle software, assuming I can.

@datasaurus Thanks - yes, I love Your Local Epidemiologist. I was amused to see she'd posted something recently, I'd completely forgotten about the removal of the black box warning.

@KydiaMusic Yeah, I would have hoped that the HAES movement had permeated GPs a bit more. :(

One of the things I'm noticing is there are a bunch of "menopause clinics" that basically seem to have sprung up in order to fill this hole. The problem of course is that I can't tell if their role is […]

@KydiaMusic Ugh, that's super disappointing that she gave such standard and unhelpful suggestions! (And 😡 about the weight and skim milk comment. FFS.)

@Wham Edible science is best science! Anything learned?

Also, deep gratefulness for the trans folk, particularly trans women, who I'm pretty certain have helped push forward general medical knowledge about HRT overall. I wish there were more info out there for all of us and we weren't just fumbling around on ancedotal and descriptive studies […]

I've also heard of folks who said their migraines got better on estrogen (and some who didn't), and, like, that'd be amazing if they mostly went away. But I've also got them more controlled now than they used to be so is that reason "enough" to try?

And yet, there's a lot of "but, like, should I risk ANY higher amount of stroke just because my body sometimes itches?" And, "well, honestly, the hot flashes are really only at night and I used to wake up then anyhow". So it's all confusing and I feel like my doctor is sorta up on it (and did […]

My #internetinabox wifi spot had gone down while I was away, and I’m not exactly how it came back up — it seemed to start working after a few reboots, which is strange. But I’ll take it.

Not too surprisingly tho it hasn’t had very many people connect to it with it being down for some of November.
