You have to remember, the people running this country now are evil. They don’t merely disagree on the proper ratio of guns to butter, which is what our system is set up for and expects. They enjoy inflicting pain for pain’s sake.
NEWS: There is a weekend hearing going on right now before Judge Chutkan, due to imminent risks of these people being re-deported from Ghana to their home countries.
NEW: A judge warned Friday that the Trump admin is "with a wink and a nod" deporting people to Ghana, only for Ghana to quickly re-deport them to countries where they face torture and persecution.

The right sets the terms of our political discourse in so many ways, one of which is the idea that there isn't enough "debate" and "free speech" on campus.
We need to push back on this. The truth is (speaking for myself as a history prof), I don't really emphasize debate much in my classes/

I understand that CK's remarks re: 2A happened within a larger context about gun rights and violence and so on, but I don't see how insisting on that context matters. Does knowing all this make him less dead? Does it make his kids less fatherless? IDK, folks...
