Now that this place is like peak Twitter, I'll get back to posting fun game dev videos. In the meantime, here's a 🧵 of my older stuff.

Here's Transmission. A cosy driving game I prototyped way back in 2018 that popped off on twitter and ended up in PC Gamer, Eurogamer and a bunch of other places.

A glimpse of my composing & mixing workflow in The Siege and The Sandfox. I tend to work at runtime with Metron Tracker & my mix system as #DearImGui overlays. I can override gameplay mix events or test in place, tweak synth/sample instruments, adjust quantised sync offsets #UnrealEngine #gameaudio

Hi Bluesky, could really use your help 🙏🙏

We just launched our latest game Starless Abyss - the exact week that Oblivion was shadow-dropped. Which has been *not fantastic* for our launch

If anyone can spare a RT, that would be so, so helpful ❤️❤️

A thought from me and @jondadley.bsky.social:

If your name was Peter you could have a social media platform called Peter, and each tweet would be called a Pete, and then you could call retweets Repetes.

Something to consider.

I started an amazing new job this year that's taken up all my time so I haven't been able to add much drunk walking simulator.

I'll share some new videos soon, I've got some daft new features I'm adding to it.
Adding obstacles to my drunk walking simulator and ended up with drunk Frogger.

Cars are probably the final boss of the prototype.

Incredibly heartwarming how my feed is wall to wall tributes to David Lynch. I have such an immediate, visceral *feeling* if I think about the end of Twin Peaks S2 and all of The Return. How much art can say that? How many artists?

Gaia Sky is a consistently under rated app. It lets you fly around a large swathe of our galaxy based on actual Gaia telescope data. In VR! It rules so hard.
The aurora now works on #GaiaSky VR as well. Now on to the volumetric nebulae...

all art is made from spite or horniness, and a computer cannot be spiteful or horny, so a computer should never make art

Added a sloshy, spillable pint to my drunk walking simulator prototype.

Spill as little as possible on your walk home from the pub.

Thanks to @tkewelldesign.bsky.social for the inspiration!

Added 'The Spins' to my drunk walking sim prototype. The Spins makes foot placement and balancing more difficult.

You can squat down for a breather to decrease The Spins temporarily. Try not to vomit.

A while ago I added Atari YM emulation to my #UnrealEngine tracker DAW, implementing stuff like SID-voice, buzzer effects & mod matrix. It can go thru realtime DSP fx like my other synth engines, but it's register-compatible with the hardware chip...in theory!

Added foot controls to my 'drunk walking simulator' prototype. Controls inspired by QWOP / Baby Steps. My apologies to Foddy.

Use L / R triggers to raise each foot, and L / R thumbsticks to fight the control where your foot lands.
