Some $ context, since people still think of Paramount as a huge studio: It's barely had a pulse for a while. The now-deadish Mission: Impossible series was its only movie in the US top 25 this year. So it's naturally frantic to build a 2026-28 lineup. And mining IP is easier than reading scripts. >
