Modest proposal to fix NBA games: instead of the same old terrible post game interviews with players (“we just executed”), interview family members. Don’t you want to know what Jokic’s older brother thinks about the officiating?! He cannot be fined! #nba #playoffs

Bottled *just* around the last time the Knicks were in the Eastern Conferenxe Finals. Just a coincidence. No jinxes.

NYC’s congestion pricing is a policy miracle: Less traffic, less noise, faster transit, more business sales, more transit revenue. And it hasn’t produced the negative effects outside the cordon zone we were afraid of.

Absolutely incredible ending. Again. Thibs - I forgive you for running Hart and Brunson into the ground. All is forgiven.

Amazing
This new package for mediation is great! The user interface is *so intuitive* but the unsung hero of this software is the documentation:

AGI is coming for all of us. It will write symphonies, direct movies, and author the best novels.

The only thing it won’t be able to do is VC investing, which must be reserved as a task only for the most-special people

It is hard to overstate what Journeys has done for our field and the profession.
It's hard to find the words. NSF just terminated the grant for Journeys, a mentoring workshop that tried to tackle underrepresentation of women in international relations. Future scholarship will be the worse for it. But this photo from our last gathering will motivate me to keep fighting.

Dear USG,
Sorry to hear that you accidentally turned in a preliminary draft of your letter. Unfortunately, now that a grade has been submitted, we cannot accept a revised version, and the original grade must stand. I hope this will serve as a reminder to double check your work before submitting it.

I was in a Head Start daycare as a child, as my (single) mom couldn’t afford to pay for care for me so she could work the job she needed to care for us.

It’s despicable that, in a country that already does so little for children & families, Trump is taking away one bright light.
The Trump administration has been illegally slow-walking Head Start funding awards - and are nearly $1 billion behind where they're supposed to be by now.

At this pace, they're on track to illegally implement a 37% cut to Head Start over a year.

The table below has the loss per state.

2013 Ted Cruz sounds so wise and principled!
“I can…assure you that were this a Republican president…targeting Democrats, I at least would speak out just as vigorously against it because if we are going to respect rule of law, the apparatus of the federal government cannot and should not be used as a partisan tool to bludgeon your enemies."

2013 JD Vance makes a great point
Oh.

"This is about whether we have functional constitutional government in this country. If the IRS can go after you because of what you think or what you believe or what you do, we'd no longer live in a free country.“
