I've been on the "LLMs don't use schema" side of the fence historically because they don't "read" it while visiting your website.

But that doesn't mean schema can't help LLMs understand your brand — especially same-as schema.

First, I agree. 👏

But, many CMS platforms automatically create the file.

So it’s possible that the majority of sites that contained the file in the dataset were not optimizing for LLMs (or even doing SEO)

Which would explain why they weren’t showing up
Shocking... ;) -> Study: LLMs.txt Shows No Clear Effect On AI Citations, Based On 300k Domains

"Analysis of 300k domains found LLMs.txt adoption is low & has no measurable link to AI citation frequency. SE Ranking’s crawl found llms.txt on 10.1% of domains. i.e. 9 out of 10 sites didn't have it."

You definitely cannot manufacture Trust 👇
So you successfully manipulated Reddit. Now what?

I saw a LinkedIn “growth hack” inserting product recommendations into Reddit to gain AI citations.

It wasn’t the post that annoyed me. It was the response. Thousands applauding the “amazing insights”. Without questioning the consequences.

And so it begins. This is the foundation of paid ads in AI Mode. I wouldn't be surprised if AI Mode was the default search mode in Google within six months.

Reddit doesn't appear very often on the first page of Google when you search a brand by name. But when it does, it's incredibly negative.

Generative search is the new dark social. These hyper-personalized conversations lead to powerful recommendations that drive consumer behavior.

Brands need to tap the line to understand how they can influence these responses

What I learned from 30 days of vibe coding.

1. Devs aren't going anywhere.
AI can absolutely help you bring your vision to life without knowing how to write a single line of code. But it can't create a secure, bullet-proof app the way a battle-tested developer can.
