You know what’s an A+ album? “Spooked” by Robyn Hitchcock, with accompaniment by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. 2004. Beautiful strings and harmonies, Hitchcock wrote a bundle of amazing ones and threw in a glorious cover of “Trying to Get to Heaven,” Welch plays drums! Classic.

One of the best parts of being a musician are the stories you collect. One time when Hallelujah the Hills Nicholas Ward was in Madison, Wisconsin, a nice lady offered for them to stay at her place. When they got there, the door opened and he was met with a different message. 😆
