Award-winning filmmaker (AMERICAN SCARY, BACKYARD BLOCKBUSTERS), lots of work on other properties (BABYLON 5, STAR WARS, CRIMSON SKIES) - I try to stay busy...
Share a 90s movie you think deserves more love...

Just an absolutely stacked cast, giving their all in a (to me) wonderful adaptation of a fantastic play. Highly recommended.

Whataburger finally opened a place near me, so I stopped today for a free lunch, since they had a free burger deal in their app.

It’s a burger. I’ve had better - didn’t hold a candle to another burger joint here in town Heather and I prefer.

But hey, free burger. Free is good. :)

Vincent and Mary Price’s "A Treasury of Great Recipes" taken from restaurants around the world, which was reprinted a few years back for its 50th anniversary...

Yes, *that* Vincent Price… :)

"Hey, hey, hey, hey-now. Don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, cuz, remember… no matter where you go, there you are".

But it looked relatively historically accurate… :)

Going back to drama, Wisconsin Public Radio/NPR did a fantastic adaption of Walter M. Miller's novel A CANTICLE FOR LEIBOWITZ in 15 episodes back in 1981. Highly recommended.

One more, because it's brilliant and insane, is Mark Evans' Dickens pastiche BLEAK EXPECTATIONS - a terrifically spirited barrage of juicy one-liners, melodrama, and blunt anachronisms, with Anthony Head gleefully chewing massive amounts of scenery.

And then there's one of the best radio sitcoms ever produced, John Finnemore's CABIN PRESSURE - if you've never heard it before, I envy you discovering Birling Day, Yellow Car, the Traveling Lemon, and so many more fun bits for the first time...

And of course, the original two radio series of THE HITCH-HIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY, which pre-date the books - followed by Dirk Magg's wonderful adaptations of the rest of Douglas Adams' followup novels.

Probably one of the gold standards is the 1981 adaptation of Tolkien's LORD OF THE RINGS, done (originally) in 26 half-hour long episodes, later edited into 13 hour long episodes.

Perfect? Maybe not musically, but for *me*? Yep... :)
