This is a serious argument that Democratic leaders across the country cannot dismiss. ICE has committed atrocities, extraordinary crimes, and was purposefully trained to act outside the law not within it. I don't know that it can be reformed. 8/

The officer who shot Alex worked for DHS for 8 years. The officer who shot Renee worked for DHS for over 10 years. Both are considered “highly trained.”

The problem isn’t "training." DHS was built to violate our rights and has been empowered to act with impunity. We must MELT ICE and dismantle DHS.

Grateful to spend some time on the picket line with our wonderful Einstein nurses. They are striking for safe staffing and better healthcare options. After all they’ve been through, @nynurses deserve good pay, as well as better benefits and working conditions.

[email protected]: Should ICE funding increases be a red line for Democrats?

McGovern: I’m not voting for an appropriations bill that increases funding for ICE. Listening to Kristi Noem trying to rationalize this—I can’t believe this is our country.

Samuel Alito flew two flags used by insurrectionists.

Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election.

Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the January 6th plot.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.

There’s been some really horrible Islamophobia this cycle. We should want our Muslim neighbors, friends & their kids to see themselves in all avenues of American life. That includes holding elected office.

Our Democracy works best when everyone sees themselves in the highest offices of power. 🇺🇸

Congratulations to Shirley Aldebol, a longtime Throggs Neck resident, labor organizer extraordinaire, mom to a great son and now our Council Woman-Elect. CD13 is in good hands.

Tonight we celebrate Shirley’s victory but tomorrow…
The Chippewa Dems showed once again what real grassroots power looks like. ✅

Because of your relentless organizing, door knocking, phone banking, and one-on-one conversations with neighbors, we flipped Council District 13 back to a Democratic seat — and elected @shirley_4council,
