This is a remarkable @nytimes.com split screen:

A huge 3,526 word + photos profile on Sen Britt who "can't stop thinking about the boy ICE detained"

But Rep Jaoquin Castro- who actually got Liam Ramos out of detention & back home- gets no interview, no pix, just 116 words inside a story. WOW.

Andor season 1 was a slow burn and I think that’s what I enjoyed about it. The quiet contemplation of how oppression happens while people either ignore it, or dismiss it.

Yeah, sure. She was a domestic terrorist with her doggy in the backseat, and a front seat full of stuffies. That’s how domestic terrorists roll. They take their wives and their dogs along when they’re doing some terrorism.
CNN: What do you say to people who watch these videos & worry Minnesota is becoming a police state?

McLAUGHLIN: There's a lot of fear-mongering going on by the media

CNN: Let me correct you. They are watching these videos & using their independence of mind

McLAUGHLIN: No. Actually it is the media

Trump wants to end Canadian sovereignty, and Canada isn't rising to the threat - Halifax Examiner
There is no bargain to be made with the Trump regime. There is no muddling through by compromising with the agents of chaos and death. They aim to destroy us.

It’s just so weird that they paint their face orange as some kind of tribal marker or shibboleth.

HOMAN: I've said from March -- if the hateful rhetoric doesn't decline there's going to be bloodshed. And unfortunately I was right. You gotta put yourself in the mind of the officer.

🧵 Every time I read a Detwiller post, I’m reminded of that pressing Steve Martin speech from the movie Grand Canyon:

“The point is there's a gulf in this country; an ever-widening abyss between the people who have stuff, and the people who don't have shit…
Here's a little secret: If the American population decides to destroy the ruling class, there is not one thing that the American police and military can do to truly bring it to a halt.

Once the real shooting starts, it won't stop.

The government is fully aware of this. They live in terror of it.

From a practical perspective, their cops have more guns than the citizens they are sworn to protect.

Police should defend citizens even from better armed assailants.

It is time to take a stand. After all, that’s the gig.
"The question that you're basically asking is, can our cops arrest them? From a legal perspective, yes. From a practical perspective...they have bigger guns than we do." That's where we're at.
