Android: no updates to the OS after a year or two, and they’re at least a year late when they roll out.

iOS: support phones for years, at least one major update a year. The OS is slipping into instability and uselessness.

Yup, I still miss BlackBerry.

They can spilt out shit code, but they mostly make our jobs faster and generate good code when used well. I can say that because I have enough experience to tell good code from bad code, and I know what I’m capable of in terms of productivity.

I think you’re making some broad assumptions about what the AI tools do and how we use them. I asked if you were in IT because I wanted to give my take but didn’t want to come across as condescending.

The space is moving really fast and we’re mostly still learning how to use LLMs.

If she doesn’t find you handsome, at least she’ll find you handy. (Or something like that, it’s been a while)

Not trying to start shit, I’m genuinely curious if you’re in IT or if you’re in a different industry?

This could be an argument against:

- IDEs with nice UX
- Auto Formatting
- Linters
- Autocomplete engines

I get that AI is a step above all that, it’s a seriously disruptive technology and we need to be careful about how we adopt it, but your brain doesn’t turn to mush the moment you use it.

Okay but seriously, you could have a verifier as a part of the protocol and an “open marketplace” of people verifiers. I’m sure it’s on the development roadmap.

I had a Chrysler 300 that had the same problem. It also had the problem that it was a Chrysler 300.

Okay, I’ll admit i haven’t thought about it yet, but this seems like it shouldn’t be hard?

Like, I totally believe it’s hard, but why exactly?

It’s just like us

That is a completely reasonable decision.

Have you considered that it’s pretty cool though? Like, really neat.

It’s probably a little late to introduce some scope creep… but have all y’all considered some direct #atproto integration? Maybe lexicons for user reviews and BlueSky sign in?
