Just so you know: The average American’s federal income tax bill includes $36 to pay for SNAP benefits and $1,200 for corporate subsidies to businesses whose CEOs earn more in a month than a majority of tax payers will earn in a lifetime.

I fully support the rights of Mr. Benioff, a USC Trustee, to say this, just as I support the rights of a USC faculty member to say “Free Palestine”. Among several reasons, this is why I personally would not sign on to the “Compact for Academic Excellence in Higher Education”.

The group that authored a controversial report sowing doubt in the severity of #climatechange has been disbanded. I’ve said and written many times before, what to do in response to climate change is very much an open question. But whether climate change is real and consequential is not.

Another misleading title. An article by a well established climate, junk scientist can hardly provide clarity on the consequences of #climatechange. The established fact is climate change is caused by humans and has led to extraordinarily negative outcomes for communities and species.

RFK Jr: We need to stop trusting the experts... Trusting the experts is not a feature of science or democracy, it's a feature of religion and totalitarianism.

I'be been saying this since Day 1 of #ChatGPT. It's now Day 1,000. It's way past time for universities to go back to #bluebook assignments and exams. I simply do not care if students don't like it. My job is to get students to think for themselves. If that's a probkem, my classroom isn't for them.
