Can we talk about using photo reference and artistic license? Let’s use this pic I just took of a man walking and his shadow on the wall behind him. If I was going to illustrate this, I’d probably add in the other arm in the shadow - - even though the photo reference doesn’t show it. Why?

Went to take a picture of the leaves’ shadow on this tree for reference, but didn’t realize the flash was on. I hadn’t noticed/ realized the circles on the fire hydrants are reflective until looking at this photo, now.

“Maybe I can get a picture of this old PAC-MAN puppet by the arcade machine if I‘m on the floor…can’t take it myself with my arm in PAC-MAN” The hilarious positions I find myself in while taking pics for my online shop. 1. Photo taken by my husband/photographer/gaffer 2.My view from the floor

Just bought my first clementines of the season. Always a roll of the dice. Are they going to be ”dry” inside (you know when they’re kind of white and mealy?) Nope. These are delicious! Firm, juicy and flavourful.

Just looking over some of the pictures I snapped on my walk home tonight and this one looks like a movie set. Cue the Ninja Turtles leaping from the roof of the building, spring-boarding off of the UPS truck, to a fighting stance on the ground.

There’s a Japanese Maple on a side street in the neighbourhood that is so incredible. Its leaves go from green to yellow, to orange to red -- a ”gradient” tree. It’s so gorgeous. This is one tree, hanging over the sidewalk!

Before and After. Sometimes I will get boxes of vintage toys that have been sitting in literal barns for decades and are super grubby. These GIANT TMNT have been well-looked-after and only needed a light cleaning. (This is the Mikey)

Popped into Niagara-on-the-Lake to check out the “Poppy Project” this afternoon. 10,000+ knitted poppies made and placed by volunteers throughout the town. This was the museum location. I wish I’d seen them during one of the fiery sunsets last week. www.notlmuseum.ca/the-notl-pop...
