First thing I’ve been looking forward to today was to witness the renamed M*Straße to Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße when departing the U2. Great initiative!
Although promised, the underground station hasn’t been renamed yet.

loved the slides by Adrian Egli on commercial dependency and infinite energy hunger of AI, which is usually way too invisible at conferences like that in my opinion;

This week started with the @rki.de Colloquium on "Empowering Public Health: From Data to Global Health".

Some of my take-aways include another survey providing evidence for Germany sadly lacking availability of research data and @blueskyullum.bsky.social showing how it does work in Denmark;

What a week full of #science & #scicomm!

Still processing & digesting the myriad of impulses + inspirations from the Symposium on AI in Public Health Research organised by ZKI-PH last week.
I was very honoured to be given the trust to moderate one of the sessions on Thursday and I enjoyed it a lot.

I might be a bit biased but I think we had brilliant talks in the first session on the regulatory framework of AI. I‘m very passionate about this topic because regulations and ethical considerations go hand in hand and the former are naturally developed informed by the latter.
