I named my fists Pancho and Lefty because one is dead and the other ain’t what he used to be.
I named my fists John and Cage because you're not going to be doing anything for the next four minutes and thirty three seconds
I named my fists Chekhov and Gun because you know they're coming but you don't know when

I'm on Bluesky but also on Mastodon. I hate to say it, but from past experience I'm not confident that Bluesky will remain the paradise that it is forever. It's not a bad idea to get familiar with Mastodon and least establish a presence there.

Louis CK has never fully acknowledged his misconduct, and has misrepresented it multiple times—including in his initial apology. In so doing, he has continued to do harm to his victims.

Fuck that. Fuck him.

New idea: musicians and other artists should talk more about where the money comes from, and *everyone else should talk less about it.*

Grateful to @leehall.bsky.social for this account of the launch of our children’s book, *Fearless Benjamin* (PM Press), at the Abington Quaker Meeting House Nov. 11. Lee writes with passion, grace, and power, explaining why children need to know Lay's story.

Ask the children. Chances are, I reckon, they’ll say Washington and Jefferson ought to have known better than to enslave people. And chances are, an adult

I have my studio rebuilt and am moved back in but now, because Thanksgiving is days away, I can't mess it up and setup microphones and run wires all over because someone might want to see it.

But I have songs to record.
