Here is an odd email made public in court where the FBI says "reporting" that cartel bosses including "El Mayo" were offering bounties on immigration agents and that spotters were on rooftops looking to ID them.
This while "El Mayo" is in jail and cooperating with DOJ.

A hearing is underway for Juan Espinoza Martinez, accused of putting a gang-related bounty on the head of Border Patrol chief Greg Bovino.
In asking for bond, his attorneys say he's not in a gang, releasing this report showing the feds followed him in a helicopter as he took his son to a soccer game

Lawrence Reed was arrested about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday near Daley Plaza. While being taken back to the Area 4 headquarters he was yelling "Burn bitch" and "burn alive bitch," according to the complaint.
He has an initial appearance at 2:30 p.m. at the Dirksen U.S. Courthouse
