As soon as he is asked the question, his eyes move to his left. He is lying.
Q: So you didn't see any survivors after that first strike?

HEGSETH: I did not personally see survivors. The thing was on fire. This is called the fog of war. This is what you in the press don't understand. You sit in your air conditioned offices and plant fake stories in the Washington Post

For over 35 years in state schools, becoming the pastoral Deputy of a school, my mantra was that teachers were the adults in the room, and students were the children.
Perhaps.. some day.. the adults will realise that if the 'expectations' are not working, then it is the expectations that are wrong.
Breaking: Too many children are ‘falling out of step with the expectations of school life’ through absence, making them ‘more likely to cross boundaries, challenge teachers’ and disrupt learning, the head of Ofsted has warned

The coverage by the BBC regarding this 'issue' this weekend and today is laughable.... only, it's not funny.
🔴Rachel Reeves and the Daily Mailification of the BBC

For all the focus on its supposed “left wing bias”, the BBC’s heavy coverage of allegations of dishonesty against Rachel Reeves shows how its political coverage is still largely led by the right-wing press

After listening to BBC's latest Newscast on the aftermath of the Budget, I am increasingly convinced we have two Englands.. one being London and the other everywhere else. The two guest 'experts' live in an alternative universe to me. Well done to Adam Fleming for trying to bring them back to Earth.

BBC and Sky journalists really struggling to say that both Labour MPs and the markets like the Budget. They can't cope with some success from this government.

I'm not sure this is going to get a lot of sympathy from those of us 'up north'.
Mumsnet is already on the case.

With regard to your budget, please listen to Hilary from our village. She’s married to Roger & sings soprano in the church choir.
People aren’t bothered about the minimum wage or income tax.
They want a return to good old fashioned Quality Street!

Putin's ambitions to conquer Ukraine and recreate the Russian Empire pose a once-in-a-generation threat to the whole of Europe. We cannot allow Trump to reward his aggression.

The Prime Minister must use this opportunity to call for Russia to be removed from the G20.

If healthy retirees want to downsize they should buy a smaller standard house with 2 floors. Bungalows are unhealthy for most elderly people - don't underestimate the benefits of being able to go up and down stairs.
A national shortage of bungalows is creating a problem for those who want to downsize trib.al/AVbAuRN

BBC has a case against Trump. WhiteHouse Chief Press Officer called the BBC ‘100% fake news.’ Which is defamatory and untrue.

It's quite striking how many of the outspoken Right wingers don't have much of a backbone when it comes to speaking up for a British institution.

Trump and his cronies have the BBC in their sights. Leaders can’t stay silent while one of our great institutions is attacked.

We must defend its independence, end political appointments, and remove Robbie Gibb from the Board.

How about, rather than shipping a few hundred people off to military sites, we let asylum seekers work and contribute to our society and fix our broken asylum system? 🤔

Reading the latest @bylinetimes.bsky.social might help him.
Farage is asked about another two of his MEPs, who made the same pro-Russia statements that Nathan Gill has now pled guilty to being bribed to make.

"Opinions are opinions."

Farage's defence seems to be that they arrived at those views independently and it has nowt to do with him.

Hmm. 🤔 ~AA
