Himes: "This shows Steve Witkoff almost literally sitting side with the Russians on this ... it's unimaginable to consider the fact that you would propose a peace deal that the Ukrainians didn't even know about."

Russia illegally invaded a democracy, Ukraine. I will never get over the fact that Trump wants Ukraine to give Russia more land that it has succeeded in taking over in the last four years of the war.

I keep coming back to the belief that Putin has some horribly damaging information about Trump.

Young adults deserve to feel supported as they transition into adulthood.

That’s why California is investing $56M to expand access to housing so our youth never have to choose between their education, paying rent, or putting food on the table.

We won’t leave them behind.

DOGE has been a FLOP, now disbanded 8 months early. Greatly exaggerating their "success" Trump and Musk lied to the taxpayers, never delivering a cent back to them. The real impact: slashing research, endangering public health, removing competent public servants, & creating chaos.
DOGE Disbanded: Elon Musk’s Cost-Cutting Project Quietly Ended
Musk said the initiative would save at least $1 trillion. But its website claims to have reached only $214 billion.

You have to ask, why was Witkoff chosen for this critically important role of special envoy to Putin? He had no diplomatic or foreign policy experience. No education on those subjects. So of all people, why him? I think what we all surmised is clear - Putin wanted Witkoff.

The first official confirmation that Noem herself made the decision not to turn the planes around. A couple hundred men were tortured as a result — and soon after, the Supreme Court confirmed that the Trump admin’s Alien Enemies Act process was a total violation of due process.
BREAKING:

“After receiving that legal advice, Secretary Noem directed that the AEA detainees who had been removed from the United States before the Court’s order could be transferred to the custody of El Salvador. “

We’d like to end today with a quote from Eleanor Roosevelt:

We do not have to become heroes overnight. Just a step at a time, meeting each thing that comes up, seeing it as not as dreadful as it appears, discovering that we have the strength to stare it down.

Just keep going. Goodnight, heroes.

I hope folks realize that between Trump, Kushner, Hegseth, Witkoff, Noem, RFK, Jr., Kash Patel, and Tulsi Gabbard, this country is almost entirely undefended.
Q: Have you heard this audio that Bloomberg has of Witkoff coaching the Russians on how to appeal to you?

TRUMP: That's a standard thing. He's gotta sell this to Ukraine, he's gonna sell Ukraine to Russia. That's what a dealmaker does. I haven't heard it but I heard it was standard negotiation.

Is there anything more American than skimming obscene amounts of money off of a charity purported to exist to help the disadvantaged? Well, churches have, too!

Franklin Graham gives himself $720,000/year from one of his charities called "Samaritan's Purse," with, clearly, the emphasis on the purse.

I was just thinking about contributing to the "charity" Feeding America. Until I discovered that the salary for its CEO, Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, was approximately $949,866 in 2024, with her total compensation being $1,113,502. Apparently, feeding America isn't her top priority.
