Cutting the deficit was never really on the table, taking care of the rich folks was always the goal, no matter what it takes. If it means millions lose their health care, so be it. Trump added $8T to the deficit his first term, the largest increase ever, and will gladly add more without a thought.
The House GOP budget imposes austerity on those who need help—not to improve the budget deficit (it makes it worse), but to redistribute your money to those who need it least. It’s the reverse Robin Hooding of America.
