I agree, but it's also clear to me after six years that AEW will never entirely overcome the fans' distrust. There's always going to be fans who think every finish they don't like is designed to bury their fav and ruin their career.

I don't think this is an AEW vs. WWE issue. Both promotions use a string of losses to tell stories that lead to a big comeback. Both fanbases worry that the story will get dropped before the comeback actually happens.
