Tending his dad in hospice, husband & I were so confused at what his Netflix "suggested" list was, zero overlap, like browsing but only a crappy airport bookseller. Weird distraction when we kinda needed it but also gross.

I don't really talk about it except to say: if your family has objects that aren't theirs, figure👏🏻it👏🏻 out👏🏻. Give them back. Don't center yourself in the process. Use libraries & museums when the Internet fails you. By any means necessary. It's home now.

For gardening, or for bigger/different projects? Building Soil by Elizabeth Murphy is a newish good one for gardeners, but I think there are likely better ones for anything above market gardening.

I found the card for my favorite childhood eggnog in my mom's recipe box and have yet to make it. I think this year it needs to happen, full credit to the original source, a woman named Adele Hauf who had a kitchen full of pet cockatiels.
