A rule for this profile, as is the case with all online media profiles:

You're welcome to interact, but I don't accept negativity or criticism from random passersby, mostly because I don't have to. I mute, block, etc. if I don't like it.

I am here to shout into the void for my own edification.
Hm. Maybe Carter Hart really is just a bad goalie?

There's no MNF tonight I feel a little lost. What am I to do with this free time? Be productive? Ew

I caught myself the other day leaving a pile of cardboard and paper in a spot in the bedroom with the faint excuse of “the cat likes it.” Then I remembered I don’t have a cat right now.

It’s been six months and I’m still not really over Baby’s passing.

I know the point of these are to be depressing, but damn …

Treachery is afoot tonight. Like that fitness instructor in Myanmar who exercised through a military coup going on in the background of her video, I am going to the gym in an attempt to not think about it right now.

Growing up a Sacramento Kings fan and being a San Jose State alumnus means you are conditioned to find only pain and anguish in the game of basketball. What joy you are able to derive is always limited and fleeting.

I don’t think much of any of the Knights goalies right now, but they aren’t why this team is struggling. The Knights depth is constantly being tested by injuries, particularly on defense. They need second Brayden McNabb-level defensive defenseman, something they’ve lacked since Alec Martinez left.

Good riddance, Ohio State.

I feel like they are missing Shea Theodore badly right now.
The Golden Knights have now given up 27 goals in their last six games (and this one still has 23 mins left).

For context, they gave up 13 in the six games prior to that.

The early returns on Macro First as a food tracking app are positive, especially since MyFitnessPal is running an extortion ring now and Lost It can’t lose the nagging ads despite giving them some money to stop the ads (sorry, was under the impression that my money paid to stop their ads too!)

I was having a pretty good 2025. Then the second half of December hit.

Credit to the Golden Knights for getting a point against the best team in the league in the Avalanche while shorthanded. Still, it’s a missed opportunity: Vegas led the game by two goals going into the third and scored five goals in the game. They’ve got to hold those leads.

To reiterate:

No one I know is obligated to call me or ask to hang out or anything of the sort when they come to town. Enjoy your vacation.

That being said, I do recognize and appreciate the friends that make it a point to do so.

I maintain that coaches that do this as regularly as Redick does to the media are not championship winners.

Redick rips into Lakers: 'We don't care enough'
Lakers coach JJ Redick lit into his team after a blowout loss to the Rockets, saying it doesn't care enough and that next practice will be "uncomfortable."

I am pleased that the Golden Knights are at the top of the standings, but they need more from Marner in particular. The OTL pity points are fickle, and Vegas has been relying too much on them (and the overall weak state of the division) to keep pace in the Pacific. It's going to catch up eventually.

A first for me when making Christmas eve tamales: I ran out corn husks and filling at the same time, and have a ton of masa left over. It means there may be even more tamales in my future.

The result this year is what I think is about 50 tamales, evenly split between chicken and pork.

I am a huge baby, so I have not seen the video where the man with the badly broken jaw has his jaw broken, but I really appreciate that not only has he finally felt some consequences, they were delivered at what seems like an appropriate velocity and intensity.

Everything Simon Whistler hosts on Youtube looks like something I would like. I can assure you, it's slop and I'm not interested, and I wish Youtube's algorithm would understand that. I keep telling it that, and it keeps trying to push his crap on me.
