Never get too comfortable on any one social media platform. None of them are trustworthy and none of them are obligated to remain functional.
Someone said American politics is like fandom wars and I hate how accurate an observation that was...

That was the story, but the "correction" said smart features were opt-in only, which is NOT the case for anywhere where the EU or some other government hasn't mandated that from what I can tell.

And for WORKSPACES, which includes Gmail when using it, Gemini functions seem to be on by default.
in the admin console, which is meant for data custodians, the preference to allow users to Gemini their shit was absolutely created default-on. I have a full-banish policy on this Workspaces instance (my users are morons and it's a personal instance)
the "smart features" has been there for a long time. my mistake, jumping to a reasonable conclusion about an untrustworthy company

at the same time, here's the setting I was mad about - which was defaulted-on. Workspace = Calendar, Docs, Drive, Gmail, Keep, and Tasks

anyone want an affidavit?

I'm being serious. This sounds like an ideal dumb but possibly enjoyable movie that I wouldn't want to pay extra for but totally would flip on if it was included with a service I'm already paying for... and apparently NONE of them have it. Not without spending $4 to "rent" a .mov file for 24 hours.

I'm not complaining, it keeps me employed. But Scott

Who's JD Vance? There's a lot of competition for "Lamest Batman Villain" so he actually has a lot of options.
