Family, fly-fishing, good beer. I work in finance, but am a geography nerd. 7th generation Oregonian.

You’ve got to kick at the darkness ‘til it bleeds daylight.
Loving your photos. So much like the Pacific Northwest.

I just don’t see how they can turn it around. When do they throw in the towel and build up their soccer teams to UP levels for a great cross-town rivalry?

Loved it when we lived a few blocks away from Oasis Pizza on Hawthorne. Did that all the time. I still drive for my own take out now that we are in the burbs.

Sadly, this only applies to the central part. Much of Southwest is bourgeois suburban car hell (no sidewalks) and outer east is working-class urban call hell (no sidewalks and shitty roads).

Bingo.

And imagine the Democratic politician who said this did so as he sat next to the podcaster's assassin whom he reminded everyone was his close personal friend
Imagine if a Democratic politician said “a lot of people didn’t like him” with respect to that assassinated podcaster. Seriously.

I am a little concerned about the part where the concealed carry org (and also concerned that the NRA wasn't extreme enough) is going to be training folks on "Church Defense". Once there is a firefight with ICE, it is all over. National Guard everywhere.

Wait a minute, is that on Bluesky? A great list of people to block! If it is twitter, yet another sign that everyone should just leave.

Looking closely, I think that boat is in transit. Looks like oars are out.

have done that many times myself!

The other rule is that boaters can't fish the last 2 (I think) miles so that they don't hog the runs that people walking up from the park can reasonably fish. I would have to look at the map, but that might have been close.
