I killed Twitter and it’s been hell rebuilding my followers.

But if you can see this and you loved Champions of the Earth… I will be sharing something soon that I think you’ll really dig. Please find me.
I would like to propose that until circumstances change, if your income is more than a certain amount above the average income of your district/state you don’t qualify to represent your constituents anymore.

This is an angry thought of mine. I will own that.

I’ve learned the look on the face of a graduate student when you tell them a better more professionalized way to do something and you can tell from their little half smile they’re thinking “yeah I’m not going to do that, listen to this idiot I pay thousands of dollars to learn from being so dumb”

I have been thinking about this all morning and I genuinely feel like making a video game in 2025 that encourages you to retreat into a fluffy world of no stakes no stress no bad thoughts or feelings is, as my friend put it, offering “unprescribed medication” as beat case scenario and SOMA at worst.

Good article by @im.giovanh.com about a "cozy" airport security game.

Wholesome games tend to reimagine labor -and reality as a whole- as we'd like it to be: beautiful, tidy, meaningful, social... but why would there be terrorist threats in this utopia?

Me, just now, having a drink and trying to distract from events of the day. I have Sweet’s Desolation Boulevard on vinyl. I put it on. I’ll grill a steak. I will forget my troubles. I will drink a whiskey. The music begins.

Me: that’s funny, why did I pull this record from the stack?

Me: fuck

What does it say about me/Star Wars that I knew all about a canceled movie that will never happen and was genuinely surprised to see a trailer for a real Star Wars movie last night in a movie theater?

I wore my new shirt today while I taught video games in these hallowed halls today. Thank you @secretgalaxy.bsky.social and @danlarson.bsky.social for the attire while I did a deep dive into the Ducktales NES game the youths only know as the game with the music from “The Moon.”

Do, Don't Show. Don't build your systems to look like the cool things are happening, actually let your player do those cool things. Build your systems simple so the player has rules they can follow to create more surprising, emergent moments they'll actually remember.

People act like all the men are gone. The men are attending protests. The men are putting together scooters for their kids. The men are getting a set of turntables for the first time. The men are buying Nikes. The men are getting super into noir. They're not Nazis and they're fine. Keep your freaks.

This is a Pixar movie. The little moon (Sabrina Carpenter) comes in to work-shadow the veteran actual moon (Meryl Streep). Streep is grumpy about it for the film’s first thirty mins. But by the end they’re inseparable and when 2083 comes we cry. While also learning about the need to let someone go.

The most important thing in writing is to finish. A finished thing can be fixed. A finished thing can be published. A finished thing can be made into a movie.

An unfinished thing is just a dream. And dreams fade if you don't hold on tight enough.

So finish the thing.

I wrote a few sexy books and this is the hottest thing anyone’s written in ages.

Tell me about those grocery prices, baby.
You gently run your hand through the rack. You can feel it—pure cotton, rich wool, Irish linen. The plump buttonholes are handsewn; the buttons attached with a firm shank. You flip the price tag over. It's affordable

You buy the jacket and go home, which is only 15 mins away. Your apt is $600/month

This was maybe one of the best campaigns I ever played in. One of the best people in my life took notice of me for the first time, convinced my pilot Anya was secretly the Princess Anastasia, and that was the last lighthearted moment as we cried and lost friends and killed fucking Nazis.
