I keep thinking again, in light of the latest Epstein files dump, about how MeToo “went too far.”

Absolutely wild that while * gestures broadly at all this * is happening, ICE leadership is still actively telling agents oh I'm p sure you have the legal power to just arrest people willy nilly, go for it

welcome to the bizarro world of conspiracy law, where things that are totally legal and constitutionally protected can be transmogrified by prosecutors into overt acts that can put you in prison
One of the "overt acts" of the conspiracy was Don Lemon and Georgia Fort interviewing the pastor of the church:

Cannot overstate how regular this is, esp in a possibly unfriendly interview (public event; subject did not invite you; you approach). You end up close because that’s how you get audible interview tape to quote accurately later. (Also this is overwritten nonsense, even for this kind of filing.)

This @abbydphillip & @jemelehill.bsky.social debate vs. Pete Seat re: Don Lemon on the nightly yelling show is so very familiar— local “TN Capitol Hill Press Corps” outlets make this same argument to keep us out🤷🏼

the team trump justification for going after don lemon is to among other things protect Christians which is funny because this is a federal government that can’t seem to get enough detaining, brutalizing, or shooting at clergy

It’s amazing to me that Musk had the sheer gall to tweet that the ‘bomb’ was that Trump is in the Epstein files knowing full well… that he was in there too.

These people are astonishing. No shame.

Just zero shame or self-awareness.

The records suggest that the island meeting with Lutnick and Epstein did occur. A day after it was supposed to happen, an Epstein assistant forwarded Lutnick a message from Epstein.

“Nice seeing you,” it said.

I reached Lutnick on his cell phone today. He said he could not comment because he had not seen the documents, claimed that he had “spent zero time with” Epstein, and then hung up.

But the new Epstein files show a series of subsequent interactions. That included this email from Lutnick about bringing his family and others to visit Epstein at his private island, Little St. James.

Last year, Lutnick said in an interview that he visited Epstein’s home around 2005 and was so troubled by what he saw that he decided never to associate with him again.

“So I was never in the room with him socially, for business, or even philanthropy.”
