Really scary. Attacking the childhood vaccine schedule directly could have decades-long effects on public health. Vaccines are one of the great public health achievements of human history. They have saved literally millions of lives. And yet here we are.

Absurd (but believable) findings in this paper from Charles Jiang & team at UTSW: >70% of Medicare Advantage & independent part D plans require prior auths for... zofran. And costs for it on those those plans are 4x more than if patients paid cash.

We found that almost 40%(!!) of females between 12 and 21 years of age are iron deficient!

And yet there’s no recommended universal screening.

Wonder how different things would be if it predominantly affected males?!
