A very interesting thread about how editors are being asked to step in to fill the stylistic void created by AI-written texts.
Some of my editorial work comes via Reedsy. Over the past year it's become completely overrun by people (I can't call them authors) who are asking for editorial help on manuscripts that have been generated by #AI. Often, what they want is for someone to make the text sound more human.

It’s publication day for The Penguin Book of Polish Short Stories. It took 39 authors 100 years to write, and me about 4 years to compile and translate, with the help of 11 other translators. It aims to show the variety and brilliance of modern Polish literature.

A private eye who's too fat to escape through windows; a book whose only failing is there isn't more of it; and a late entry—funny, surprising and in parts overwhelming in its emotional force—for one of the best novels of the year.
