it's a shame that "the type of greed they talk about in the Bible" became so cliché because there really is no better way to describe the hubris of Rivers Cuomo changing the lyrics of a Shaker hymn about humility to "I am the greatest man that ever lived"

I don't know any of the behind-the-scenes details of Elvis Costello and Bruce Thomas falling out but my brain has automatically decided that [1] Bruce Thomas was probably the problem and [2] I'm on his side anyway because he's a really good bassist

I think I'm always gonna feel like a Precocious Yet Babyish Tween inside but I feel viscerally repulsed by memories or thoughts of myself as a toddler or infant. Not a big fan of young kids in general but it's way way worse when it's me
