I use words and take pictures. I made two kids. I like bonfires.
"But he waved goodbye, saying don't you cry, I'll be back again someday" hits a lot different now

Which should I get for my 74yo Ukrainian whiskey-sipping mom for Christmas (I’m one of her Secret Santas and need to get a $35-$40 gift—these both hit that price point 😂)

Nuzzi 2: Electric Boogaloo (in three acts)

Olivia Nuzzi and Ryan Lizza are trying to outwrite each other, like a dueling pianos of jilted lovers, and it's very funny www.telos.news/p/part-1-how...

Meg here will keep adjusting “barely legal” down until we’ve got these ghouls fucking newborns and people like Meg going “I mean, infants *look* kind of like old people, right?”

True: My town is mired in unseemly machinations in which the GOP allegedly got an 83yo w/limited English on the ballot on a third-party line, w/out her knowledge, as a town supervisor candidate (votes for her threw the election to the GOP)

Also true: The Karate Kid is doing my town’s tree lighting

This essay (which I have no beef with, it’s good; it’s calling awareness to more instances of this garbage) actually uses the Kimmel incident to try to appeal to folks about people being abducted off the streets www.disabledginger.com/p/help-rodne...

Wow. Maria Delgado, 83, didn't know she was on the ballot and hadn't switched parties on her own (her daughter explains in the article). And yet our reelected supervisor, who everyone suspects was at least peripherally involved or aware, is shrugging and saying, "Too bad, too sad."
November 8, 2025 at 1:05 PM
This quote from an anonymous "political insider" also seems to be some BS, since there are people in the town who say this has going on for years, not since some alleged incident in June (and fwiw, if the Dems did this as well, that's doesn't seem to be cool, either)
November 8, 2025 at 12:11 AM
Newsday's take, so far (and the mysterious Maria Delgado who ran for town supervisor on the Working Families Party line *does* seem to be the 83yo in town, lol)

I mean, it starts out somewhat normal (ignoring that all these "additions" aren't exactly the equivalent of decimating an entire wing of the building)...

Absolutely love how the WSJ writes around, using the murkiest of language, that the president of the United States took what was meant to be a private message to his attorney general and accidentally posted it on social media
