ATTN FEDERAL WORKERS: It has come to my attention that several agencies are now offering WiFi for you to use with your PERSONAL devices. If I were you, I would NOT use that WiFi. I suspect it's a way for DOGE to monitor your personal communications.

I used to make fun of those human interest stories about cats rescued from trees or whatever on slow news days. I was an idiot. I miss slow news days. Let me look at that dumb cat.

Absolute 🔥🔥 from Sarah McBride: "We will not take a lecture on decorum from a party that incited an insurrection. I appear to live rent free in the minds of some of my Republican colleagues. The Republican Party is obsessed with culture war issues. It is weird and it is bizarre.”

Make art, read books, play games, feed your soul.
Good morning. The dance, whatever that means to you, is worth fighting for.

“During the darkest days of the AIDS crisis, we buried our friends in the morning, protested in the afternoon and danced all night. The dance kept us in the fight because it was the dance we were fighting for.

I finished the Anyday sweater from Ysolda I've been working on and decided to add a little note in duplicate stitch. #knitting

I need to hear this right now, which means that others probably do too:

However you're getting through this, you're doing a good job. This month's been fucked up and intense and I know I'm not the only one who's overwhelmed. It's exhausting and cruel, and the important part is getting through 🩵

As of yesterday, I am officially not just ADHD, but AuDHD. Fellow neurospicy club members, when should I expect my non-scratchy merit badge?

USAID is a criminal organization,” Mr. Musk wrote on Sunday in a social media post that many aid workers saw as confirmation the agency would soon be absorbed into the State Department and that some viewed as a potential threat to their personal safety. “Time for it to die.”
THIS HAS TO STOP.

I grew up being hit and shamed for my ADHD behavior as a child. Guess what? It didn't cure the ADHD, it just saddled me with anxiety and depression too. Meds aren't the enemy.
Republicans want you to hit your kids instead of giving them health care
Senator Tommy Tuberville: We have an attention deficit problem in this country. Attention deficit — when you or I were growing up — our parents didn’t use a drug they used a belt.

Reading 1950s lesbian pulp fiction. Partly because it's just good smutty fun. But also because it provides a window into queer culture during the McCarthy era--we've found love, joy, connection, and happiness in hard times and we can do that again. Don't give up hope.

Quite the indictment of AI products: they are more appealing to people who don't understand how they work and see them as magical

The paper concludes: "businesses may benefit from targeting those with lower AI literacy" and "maintaining an aura of magic around AI" ✨

I'm tired. You're probably tired too. And while there's a lot of work we need to do over the next four years, it's ok to listen to what your mind and body need in this moment.

In a capitalist hellhole where your worth is measured by your productivity, rest is revolutionary. Self-care is necessary.
