Philosophy Tube is made by properly paid artists; no AI slop, no sussy sponsorships from mobile games and mattress companies. If you want there to still be a place for proper art on the internet then please support your friendly neighbourhood content creator, whether that’s me or someone else ❤️

Your reminder that someone can appear to be at the top (of the world, of their field, etc) and feel rather dramatically differently. I'm glad Jim worked through his issues, is still here with us and is still writing the books so many people love.

Take away my photoshop, take away my tablets, I can still draw. Take away your plagiarism machine and what are you gonna do? Shout prompts at me?

Tesla's stock is ridiculously overvalued, and even a modest consumer boycott could tank the company, which accounts for the majority of Elon Musk's wealth.
The divestment movement weakened apartheid South Africa. Let's do that again. slate.com/business/202...
Don’t Buy a Tesla. Sell Your Tesla. Refuse a Tesla at the Rental Counter. Yes—It Will Help.

One of the few good things about this time of year is the albedo, and getting the occasional lavender sky.

This happened to me on an audio conference call once.

Big company boss guy: "So moving forward, what are the plans for (my specific job)."

I unmute my mic and immediately my cat pipes up. "Mrrrrrow?"

Boss didn't even hesitate. "Can I get that in writing?"
Right so after several recent incidents at work it seems like it's time to tap the sign again:

Never apologize to me when your cat crashes a video call.

Your cat is perfect.

I understand that the begging for attention is not charming to you but it is to me and I wish to see your cat.

Thank you.

Here's the Biden story that should be on the front page. Ten years ago, if we got $300 million for something like this, we in the climate community would've had a ticker tape parade in Lower Manhattan.

The Biden-Harris Admin got $3000 million ($3B) and it's just one of dozens of giant climate wins.
President Biden is at the Port of Baltimore today, announcing $3B from the IRA to electrify ports. Ships & vehicles around ports burn fossil fuels, which makes pollution, which makes people who live nearby sick. This stops that, & cuts GHGs. A career-defining win. www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-roo...

4 yrs ago today, a family member managed a truly spectacular own goal, splintered his domestic bliss, & in the process, united the world for a day.

On popular request, I shall now recreate the livetweet thread from that day
