#screenshotsaturday I now have a complete game loop for my 2.5D #platformer. I am just a main menu and pause menu away from feature complete for my prototype. Next up is figuring out some art and whiteboxing lots of levels!

What's a #platformer without buttons and levers? These obstacles really add to the ability to create fun puzzles. They can be permanent or deactivate after a certain duration.

I think proximity mines were a good addition to my 2.5D platformer. They encourage both speed and caution. Get too close for too long and they go off, firing deadly spikes in all directions!

Sometimes the ground isn't safe. Watch out for Saw Blades hidden in the floor. I am having a lot of fun adding all of the obstacles I can think of to my 2.5D Platformer.

For #screenshotsaturday I wanted to show a simple, but useful tool I made for my new 2.5D platformer. It measures the distance between objects, giving me a precise scale and position for setting up objects. Tools like this help so much with #leveldesign.

Removed Cinemachine! It is now a completely custom system. It functions the same, but is more designed for my needs without the extra overhead that comes with Cinemachine.

Reading is cool, so I created a dynamic book system that creates a book with random dimensions while maintaining the model's details (think 9-slice sprites). The book is then added to a shelf and alphabetized. Modeled in #blender and implemented with #unity. #screenshotsaturday #gamedev #indiedev

I did some 3d modeling in #blender for #BrackeysGameJam and had a lot of fun. Not something I do often and want to get better. So I spent time today modeling and texturing (for the first time) a book. I really like the way it turned out. Going for a hardline low poly look! #gamedev #indiedev

Gathering Resources is the biggest mechanic in my strategy game. Once a Collector has gathered a resource, they can only gather the same resource type until they have emptied their current supply. Gathering time, amount, capacity and range are all upgradeable stats. #gamedev #indiedev
