Forge in Halo is what got me initially into Level Design and sparked my interest in Game Design. I used to spend hours and hours working up levels then playing them with my friends. I am primarily a programmer now, but have been getting back into Level Design and it feels good.

100% agree. Create a color tag for different levels of completeness for text. In Unity, just wrap everything with color tags and only change those tags when the text is updated. I like to use magenta because my brain is hardwired to see that as incomplete or missing.

I am pretty far away from publishing anything, but I have been designing it as mobile first, so I would love to have it on Google Play and App Store. Steam maybe since it plays really well on PC and Mac. I have thought about just putting it up on itch as a download for Android and PC.

Absolutely! I plan to have lots of visual and probably audio cues to help the player predict traps. I love the idea of sparks for the saw blades that works so well.

Sometimes this is one of the hardest lessons learned and is definitely something I still struggle with. But look on the bright side, if you need to do it again, you have it automated.

Right now it is the magic of being a very basic prototype! Eventually it will be an animated and art-ed out cannon or something like that. I haven't figured out the style/setting quite yet. I think it will probably be something more futuristic, science fiction.
