Mild take: "6-7" today is no different than "Over 9,000" was for my generation.

Lemme see if I can remember from the Biden years what we're supposed to say. Oh yeah: "Watching him sundowning like this, it's clear it's time for him to lay down his burden and get the rest he deserves. How cruel of the people around him to force him to stay in office—it's inhumane." How'd I do?

I love the phrase "We squashed the beef" to describe resolving a feud. It makes it sound like they agreed to get together and make smash burgers.

We'll see how Carney's pipeline commitment goes. Canadian politics is littered with the ghosts of political careers laid low by oil politics, none greater than beloved Prime Minister Louis Saint-Laurent, whose government was felled by backlash to a pipeline.

It's long past time. We may not think we're at war with Russia, but Russia has been at war with us long before even the invasion of Crimea. Much of the destruction of the North American body politic can be traced to Russian hybrid warfare ops.
„Europe thinks the unthinkable: Retailiating against Russia“

I have been shouting this from the roof for decades and it is starting to sink in to more and more European officials. They realize that doing nothing is always the greatest risk.

Carney is gambling that Canadians are more receptive to oil pipelines now that Trump is threatening to gobble us up. He may be right: Polls show majority support for one, even in BC. That won't be the case for the leftists in his caucus, though.

This is genuinely sickening. The United States does not and should never dictate policy to Canada, especially when it concerns human rights. We are a sovereign nation built on multiculturalism, period.

In an unbelievable move by Rubio, he has ordered all American Diplomats in Canada,Europe, New Zealand & Australia to press their host governments to restrict most immigration and to file reports if the governments appear to be overly supportive of immigrants

Witkoff helping the Russians write surrender papers for Ukraine is far, far more treasonous than Democratic lawmakers saying the troops don't have to follow illegal orders. Once again, Krasnov carrying water for his masters in the Kremlin.

Trump's "peace plan" for Ukraine simply gives Russia everything it wants. Ukraine should keep fighting. No surrender to Russian genocide.

Trump is calling for Democrats to be executed for saying the military should obey the law. Imagine if Obama had said this about Republicans. FOX News would be playing it on a 24-hour loop until the end of time. The impeachment proceedings would start immediately. www.cnn.com/2025/11/20/p...

I'm not a fan of how Windows 11 doesn't allow you to increase the height of the taskbar. It feels like my Windows experience is now that much less functional and convenient.

Enshittification: It's a thing.

Absolutely vile.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

As expected, the budget squeaks through on abstentions. The NDP are simply too weak to fight an election right now.

Trump selling the F-35 to Saudi Arabia may be good reason for us to not over-invest in them. I give it about five seconds before the Saudis dissect one and sell its secrets to China.
