Not for academics it isn’t. You learn by reading and by following citation chains and talking to other people in the field. Letting the AI do the summary is abdicating your job.

You know what would really help? If authors that people know and trust, many of whom signed on to the campaign asking Substack to change their policies, actually left. Because no one is going to listen to me when [redacted] and [redacted], not to mention [redacted] are still on there.

I think something that many of us have a difficult time with (myself included!) is how much you separate the art from the artist. a lot of great art has been made by shitty people
