ACTUALLY: I have been thinking a lot about jack kerouac's VISIONS OF CODY when I was 19-20 and what that opened up for me. That and Anaïs Nin's diaries are what made me realize you could write about anything, the most mundane things, and that your style was what let meaning shine through them.
