Since I don’t know many movies, I have to use clues and then check which titles comes close to my ideas. Building a list of movies to track down!

But how’s the market for mall Grinches? Lots in our area!

Yes! Unfair of @mynamesnotgordy.bsky.social to post this early in the morning (I’m not a morning person)… really hard on my brain at this hour!

Completely agree. Since the extra day was added for federal workers, getting my kid to and from school (not neighbourhood school) …under 10 km… now consumes hours of my day. We live on the LRT stage2 … but graduation will come before the train…and Bank St bus still an issue!

I share your duuuh feeling!! My guess is hidden behind the Elf door! I didn’t think it was right … but, like you, it made sense! Bravo to you for playing!! … and being so excited!! Much needed enthusiasm and fun in a social media feed!

Uggg… sounds like a lot of work!! But, agreed still better than what I’ve read/ heard about US. I had a full year with partial pay at home. Not everyone in the province (🇨🇦) has that … but definitely better than US!

Support women and parents??!! Paid maternity leave and parental leave? Hope the US finally catches up with the rest of us!

Don’t fret. He’ll forget/ deny that he ever said that. You can have your thought back then!

Thank you for sharing the article by Charlie Angus! His voice and information are important to share.

Thank you. We’ve had the premium for years due to connectivity to speakers/ family plan. I’ll do some more investigating about the ad issue … and evaluate other services for their choices (and our speaker compatibility).

Where are ads on Spotify? Serious question.

My podcasts have ads but I assumed that those were connected to each podcast.

Sorry - listening age = mid-20’s but chronological age = much older. Just hearing about this issue today.

Are the ads only for US subscriptions?

My 16 year old son and I (mid-50’s) are both in our mid-20’s … but with completely different listening selections!

And, seriously, anyone listening to older musical soundtracks/ moody (but relatively contemporary) orchestral scores from older movies … is NOT mid-20’s despite music release dates!

And my Christmas carols are mash-ups.

What a fun activity … but wish I was more aware of popular culture (movies) so my guesses would be better. Perhaps I’ll learn some titles!

… in their current states!

Reminds me of the “great” leaders Mao and Ho Chi Minh. Similar appearance and expressions.

Did someone show this to Trump et al? Using Franklin the Turtle (Canadian author, children’s books) seems very similar to this Canadian version of Trump reading to kids.

I understand the point of this map but the names are placed rather randomly rather than in geographic areas traditionally associated with the aboriginal cultures of the First Nations.

Yup - business owners, hockey families, community service clubs, garage parties, the high school, …. So relieved after moving out of the area. People from GTA are too “foreign” for the big-fish-in-small-pond crowd.
November 27, 2025 at 12:03 AM
I doubt that they own the farms. Factory workers in the smaller towns, business owners in the small towns (big fish in small pond) who even resent people from as far as Toronto moving in. “Grown up” hockey boys who party in their garages.

When in Toronto recently, we saw signs indicating that e-bikes and scooters could not be on TTC property until spring. Does this mean that there are issues with the safety of the batteries? Or snowploughing issues?! Is this common in other cities?

Too much Lego? If it is not scattered on the floor, is there such a thing as too much Lego?!
November 24, 2025 at 4:34 AM
Even when a worker on a support lines says this … and I know it is part of the script… it helps!! The negative words inside are so loud … we need the “outside” voices to cut through the negativity for a brief pause. Thank you!
