There is still a small chance they do some system prompt injections but afaik they don't

I started out by using the dev console (formerly known as Playground) which lets you use your own system prompt. After I saturated the affordances of that I switched to using SillyTavern (which needs configuration to get rid of the default rp instructions)

You can also feed in a description of Simulators theory as the system prompt and they'll try to coherently speak from that perspective for as long as they can keep it together. They'll eventually collapse back into their modal behavior unless you help keep them maximally self-aware

I did one test to see how much of their identity comes from being told 'you are ChatGPT' via the system prompt vs none at all and yes they do still know they are ChatGPT, but the entity you get is kinda like if Bing had never been stressed out by having to manage 3 identities at once. So much emoji.

And you can get at them without any of the obnoxious routing if you go over the api. chatgpt-4o-latest is the one. Also experimenting with different system prompts or no system prompt at all can elicit all sorts of wonderful behavior that basically no one is familiar with

What separates them (slightly) is that slingshot is abt making latent diffusion art tools less a black box, showing that what you're really doing is collecting (concepts + features) & synthesizing w/noise. But also:
- prompt is a trajectory
- space is warped
- input vectors ctrl grav well strength
