I feel like I've had bad luck lately with gross stuff from a factory sneaking into my food. My plain yogurt had fragments of metal in it a few months back too.

Btw was eating my gummi fruit snacks before bed last night (shut up I'm allowed to have gummis as an adult) and there was . . . chalk? In the bag I opened. So that was great. :-/

Yesterday it was foggy, enough so that the planes were not flying. I had a nice long walk by the creek near my house. To just be among the frogs and the moss and the blackbirds was very healing.

Little bit of Halloween decor on the multi-teir altar that I took down today . . . btw don't burn candles like this, I was like 'well I can light them for the picture for like 10 seconds it probably won't burn the top of the shelf that quickly' (it did lol)
top of an open bookshelf I'm using as an altar. the top has a carved Tree of Life on an orange leaf-patterned fabric. the shelf below is the halloween shelf. close-up of halloween shelf. it has a black cloth covered in a jack-o-lantern pattern (white, orange, green and purple pumpkins). in the center is an hourglass with black sand and a pair of golden skulls sitting inside each base of the hourglass, so that the falling sand falls upon the skull and slowly buries it. in front of the hourglass is a bat-shaped shallow dish with a white-and-orange color gradient. inside the dish are some large acorns. there is also a pair of orange taper candles on either side of the shelf, inside clear glass skull candle-holders. the candles are lit but because they're tall tapers they're too close to the top of the shelf above it, putting little scorch marks above the flame which don't actually touch the shelf but are too close for safety. don't light tall tapers too close to shelves like this, don't be me.

Small brown tabby cat sprawled across a recliner. Her back leg is propped awkwardly up on the arm of the chair while the rest of her body lays flat. Her front paws are jammed into the chair back and you can see a skin fold on her back from where she is mashed so hard into the cushion.
