Congratulations! Exciting times - what's the best way to keep up to date with this?

My aunt said to me the other day "you know what Jason, I think I've got this ADHD thing" which got me thinking again about ADHD as a trait of the family - my aunt and I don't share genetics, but it certainly takes a special kind of person to marry into my family.

Absolute torture trying to lead a kid's session with the fabulous smells wafting through from the kitchen next door.

Going back to the symptoms thing. Back when my GP did online appointments (now phone only), certain symptoms, keywords, levels of pain etc. would close the form and prompt me to call to 111 (one time even 999) for triage.

and routine in the afternoon.

What do you do if you have an emergency in the afternoon? Call 111. The last 3 appointments I've had with my GP were emergency referrals from 111 - even when I've phoned them in the morning, been told "not enough of an emergency" then had 111 override them.

My GP does this.

It's because appointments have to be triaged in real time by humans, just in case you try and book an appointment with symptoms that indicate you could die before you get to see a doctor.

My GP goes a step further, you can only make emergency appointments in the morning...

(If this is you about to send me that email I know you tried your best and you protested how dumb it was. But compliance doesn’t run on nuance so just send it and let me do the work for you).

Given his legendary appetite, there's an alternate explanation as to where that money went...

Pharmacies suck hard every day of the week anyway. Insanely brittle and inefficient system all round.

Sympathetic, but this is not about Sunday trading laws as Pharmacies are exempt.

IIRC, even supermarkets are allowed to keep their Pharmacies open outside restricted hours.

Suspect issue is pharmacists don't want to work on a Sunday and/or it's not economical to pay them to.

A Norwegian colleague explained the rules to me once, before cutting a call short so he could buy some beers before 1800. Scotland do a similar thing now, which I've been caught out by before.

Really take for granted just being able to pop to the shop for beer whenever.

Turned on the sound expecting music, maybe a little fanfare.

Disappointed.

I am regularly shocked by the lack of familiarity that many front-end developers have with modern CSS/JS features.

Often not their fault - a lot of agency based devs are building sites with proscribed (S)CSS frameworks and patterns that are 10+ years old.
