I'm trying to do side-project stuff in the evenings. It's getting colder and it's already dark after work now, which makes it kind of hard to find the energy.
I've taken to putting Ghibli movies on and sitting under a blanket in front of the TV while writing code.
Ghibli makes everything better.

As if cookie notices weren't bad enough, I can't seem to get away from this trash lately. And it's particularly egregious because it takes focus away from whatever other Web ai.0 bullshit has been ejaculated upon your screen.

The Apple Music app is so absolutely broken in usability and from straight up bugs that I'm now testing three alternatives at once 🫠. I've had to lower my requirements from "can stream from app to Sonos" to "can stream from machine to Sonos" which sucks, but it's still worth it.

I just found a recipe that had a "Jump to Recipe" button and actually appreciated it.*
Remember when recipes had recipes in the first 90% of the scrollbar?
*It didn't work, because first I was violated with a cookie notice which was broken because of an adblocker.
The Web in 2025 is so good.

I've followed, but kept rather quiet about the Ruby Central stuff so far. I'm just some guy who is unqualified to pick it apart, but I will just offer a couple of thoughts.
Firstly, most people involved in the discourse care deeply about Ruby, or they wouldn't be engaging in the first place.
