I run a charity with my wife (One And All Aid), which funds education for Yezidis, following the 2014 genocide. In my spare time I fish and write. Two fishing books have been published, and my new book is a comedy adventure novel, Criminal Bycatch.

Wondering if it’s possible, just remotely possible, that the Afghan refugee involved in today’s shooting suffers from war trauma and shouldn’t be anywhere near a weapon in a city that is as militarized as Kandahar.

It’s at least as plausible as the claim he’s a terrorist.

If Farage had just admitted, apologised and repented his teenage racism - water under the bridge. But the fact that he has denied the truth and maligned those saying it NEARLY FIFTY YEARS ON, indicates to me not only his untrustworthiness, but that these antisemitic beliefs are not so historic

Oh, the old "it's not you, it's the other ones we're against" line? I've heard this a few times when these racists come out with their shite in front of my (white) immigrant wife and I call them out.

Isabel Oakeshott, amongst others, has been desperately trying to defend #Farage and his #racism by saying it happened so long ago that it is no longer relevant. We pointed out that the problem #Farage has never stopped being racist or making excuses for them.

Even the BBC, normally a Farage fan club, is joining in under its breath.
