Many years ago I found a demo on Amiga, I have searched for it for... 30 years since. Maybe you #Amiga fans can help?

Its one of the voyagers going past possibly Jupiter with Haldanes quote being read about the Universe being stranger than we can imagine. Maybe Sagan reads it. #Demoscene

I originally played this as Nebulus on the Atari ST in the early 90s. Eventually i got Castelian on the gameboy.

No matter what platform you play it on, the rotating tower always looks impressive for its time.

It’s rock hard too, I don’t think I ever got past the second tower!
Nebulus

Released on MS-DOS as Tower Toppler in 1988.
There is also an EGA version from 1989 called Nebulus.

This is game is also known as Castelian and Kyorochan Land, depending on platform or country.

Hi new followers! I'm Nathan, I'm making a new action-platformer called ChainStaff. You get to shoot, but you also get swing and spear baddies!

If it looks cool, please wishlist it on Steam.

@cyningstan.bsky.social Hello! If I wanted to have a play with CGALIB, would I need to compile with OpenWatcom v2, or a 1.x version?

The internet is a smaller place than you think. I was just scrolling through Reddit, as one does, only to find a comment from @gazchap.com on a thread about Only Connect

@system3.bsky.social I know System3 from Constructor! I played the demo to death, bought the game but had to return it because I didn’t have enough ram (although the demo worked fine) then when I had more ram bought it again and played it to death again. Love Constructor Plus too

Of all the “new retro” computer projects, the Spectrum Next has to be my favourite. Nice little cottage industry of indie game devs built up around it too. What with a hugely popular 3rd Kickstarter under way, it’s quite exciting to think how it might grow
All of Rusty Pixels Spectrum Next digital games are 15% off during the duration of the Kickstarter 3. I grabbed most of them and will probably get the rest later today.

Standouts in my mind are Warhawk and Head Over Heels.

Reminder: Atari didn't collapse in 1983-84 because their games were bad. It was because they had such unrealistic projections that even their top-selling titles were considered flops

Atari executives peddled the "people hated the games" story to deflect blame for their mismanagement
EA reportedly expects Battlefield 6 to have 100 million players, three times more than the series' best seller

fucking JOHN ROMERO can't even get funding?!?!?
Romero Games has announced that its next, unannounced project has lost funding, with a now-ex-Romero Games employee claiming it was due to this week’s Microsoft cuts.

The worst addition to Facebook in its history has to be that awful "laugh" reaction. 10% of its use is laughing at jokes, the rest is cynicism, mockery and dismissal. It's worse (in my opinion) than a simple "thumbs down" reaction.
