Ok BlueSky: what are your favorite history books in terms of sheer page-turning, narrative propulsion? Thinking along the line of Killers of the Flower Moon, etc. Nonfiction chronicles that read like novels or movies.

It was assumed when the news of Root Sports demise broke a few months ago, but this article confirms that ESPN will be handling in-network broadcasts for the Mariners (along with five other teams) and the out-of-network MLB.tv service.

It was assumed when the news of Root Sports demise broke a few months ago, but this article confirms that ESPN will be handling in-network broadcasts for the Mariners (along with five other teams) and the out-of-network MLB.tv service.

It only took 25 days for @brittneybush.bsky.social to manifest Josh Naylor’s contract. Huge improvement over Cal Raleigh’s extension, which took 135 days.

Just a little surprised that Jorge Polanco didn't get a qualifying offer from the Mariners. I don't think he'll get an offer with an AAV more than $22m, but Gleyber Torres got one from the Tigers and I don't think they'll end up signing deals too far apart on AAV.

Georgie! I love reading this book for bedtime and the kids love it too, but my wife keeps trying to get rid of it — I’ve had to salvage it from the give away pile at least three times.
This is the best Halloween or Halloween-adjacent book of all time. I'm pushing 50 years of trying to live the Mr. and Mrs. Whittaker lifestyle.

I never saw myself getting all emotional about baseball and writing something like this, but this gosh dang Mariners team made me do it.
I also don't think my experience is unique, so if you're missing someone and baseball helps you miss them a little less, this one's for you.
