Still a giant dork/computer engineer.
yeah to be clear i think they screwed up somewhere, im just curious how
November 11, 2025 at 12:26 AM
They were wrong to call it, it’s good they uncalled it, but mostly I really want to know how they were told there was 71k out instead of 100k at the time lol
November 11, 2025 at 12:22 AM
they want votes wednesday
November 10, 2025 at 9:16 PM
not ever getting delauro's sign off on the minibus is not a great sign for the rest of regular order since its not like these were the hard ones lol
November 10, 2025 at 8:21 PM
well no, schumer still needs to go for being out of control
November 10, 2025 at 6:20 PM
That’s just the difference between the house and senate. Once the appropriations people decide to do stuff they no longer care about leadership. Schumer still needs to go but this vote is probably not something anyone could have stopped
November 10, 2025 at 4:14 AM
That I agree with for sure, it’s just actually wrong to say he could have stopped the vote
November 10, 2025 at 4:01 AM
This isn’t true, he doesn’t control the floor
November 10, 2025 at 3:33 AM
yglesias has written verbatim that he wants the filibuster gone

he has enough bad positions you dont need to lie about more
November 10, 2025 at 3:03 AM
He only had to convince 1.5% more voters to switch which is well within the bounds of shown moderation effects. He should have basically gone to war with Biden

Does it make it likely? Nah but he should have tried.
November 10, 2025 at 3:00 AM
That’s what matt is saying, the old dems don’t want it nuked
November 10, 2025 at 2:56 AM
No, he lost last year literally because he didn’t perform moderation enough
November 10, 2025 at 2:55 AM
I’m increasingly convinced Schumer had no part in this beyond awareness. I don’t think he was behind it. Which is just a reason he needs to go anyway
November 10, 2025 at 2:43 AM
I think he literally isn’t in control
November 10, 2025 at 2:43 AM
It’s just going to be aoc, she can’t win the pres primary and is smart enough she will realize it imo
November 10, 2025 at 2:35 AM
They didn’t even get that, since Ag is in the minibus that was always going to happen, they are just highlighting and pretending it’s separate
November 10, 2025 at 2:34 AM
I think they probably had 2-3 2026 class that would have voted yes in a vacuum but it was all negotiated between that group not leadership
November 10, 2025 at 2:33 AM
Nope Moulton is hugely superior to markey
November 10, 2025 at 2:20 AM
I think the Midwest senators mostly were actually out and meant it

I think Warner, hickenlooper and ossof are the primary bailed out by the group suspects
November 10, 2025 at 2:12 AM
Nah he’s too old, he needs to go too
November 10, 2025 at 1:59 AM
He’d never vote yes once they got to 60 without him
November 10, 2025 at 1:58 AM
He’s been against the shutdown the entire time
November 10, 2025 at 1:01 AM
The funniest thing is the reporting is that the house gop caucus agrees that they need to be kept away so they can’t say stupid things lol
