That’s just the difference between the house and senate. Once the appropriations people decide to do stuff they no longer care about leadership. Schumer still needs to go but this vote is probably not something anyone could have stopped

I think they probably had 2-3 2026 class that would have voted yes in a vacuum but it was all negotiated between that group not leadership
