DOZENS of you follow him still. SO upset by the files - but aren't willing to do the lightest of work to amend your behavior? This isn't vanilla vs. chocolate, "death of the author" arguments. I have to assume you're part of the problem that keeps these horrors going, and I will act accordingly.

Whelp. Had an appointment, have to cancel, maybe next week's too. I'd have to get through clouds/residue of chemical agents to see one of my doctors. Even though I have a decent respirator, I don't have safe ways to clean up without exposing others. Count attacking hospital facilities, too. Creeps.

I cannot stress it to you enough how surrounded we are by those who do harm, how free and supported they are. Did you vote for this private (rich) citizen to be having this influence on everybody else for only his own personal interests?

Last December I sold Shapeshifters. We signed the contract on 12/18.
On 12/19 we learned that the FDA was sending threatening letters to chest binder companies. I got mine on 12/22. Merry fucking Christmas to me.

Due to burdens on the system, I can't get all the imaging my Dr wants, but this week's results: Liver still looks decent, no lesions or extra portal stress, no sign of cancer, etc. So... Happy new Year, I guess. (2026 is Year of the Horse, so ofc I Unicorned.)

If you’re a working artist talking to other creatives I’m begging you to not hide this. I have a parter who makes more and I don’t hide that and try to be as open as I can especially one on one. It’s cruel to not be honest with your fellow artist and give them any kind of false hope or fear
Many full time creatives have “invisible safety nets” like bread-winning partners, trust funds, external support, etc. No shame on anyone, but it creates a false vision of success. The cost of going to cons alone on top of hoping to eat as a freelancer are untenable, IMO.
When people hear that I'm returning to part time work they often ask "are things not going well with your art?"
The problem really is things are going well, but the world is so unstable that I long for some consistency and income that I don't have to pay quarterly taxes on

I firmly believe, with every single atom of my being, that instead of amplifying unreliable information that discourages helping, our focus as 42 million Americans face hunger must be on providing factual information that enables people to help.

Further testing for allergies in the queue, but the 1st one says heckin' tree allergies. Dogs? Nope. Let the pet sitting commence?? I can have a dog some day if I can afford it? Investigations shall continue!!
