As an 🇺🇸 in 🇨🇦, we did not do a big meal today - that was taken care of Saturday when I made Apple Pie and we had Turkey at a friend’s house.

RIP Jimmy Cliff.

I watched this film at least 50 times after tracking down a VHS copy circa ‘97, when that was still a feat and I was still in a dorm. I’ll be revisiting my introduction to the man and his music again soon.

Welp, sent off a new feature experimental-doc to the first batch of festivals today. Now to wait and see if it has any wings. It definitely has a lot of 🐦 on-screen and in the soundtrack.

I’ve always liked the convention of naming small apartment complexes. Somehow, I’ve walked by this ~1930s complex in my neighborhood without recognizing the name. Seemed fitting for B&W.
