As an 🇺🇸 in 🇨🇦, we did not do a big meal today - that was taken care of Saturday when I made Apple Pie and we had Turkey at a friend’s house.

But my kids aren’t escaping this Thanksgiving tradition.

This one’s headed out today, and I’m conflicted. But, the herd must be culled. The title track is stellar (even with the pan flutes), but each of these legends reached greater heights elsewhere. One last spin.

I’ve always liked the convention of naming small apartment complexes. Somehow, I’ve walked by this ~1930s complex in my neighborhood without recognizing the name. Seemed fitting for B&W.

Cracked open the Technics turntable I picked up for free last summer because it was running a little fast. Dusted the insides, gave the speed pots & switch a shot of contact cleaner, and put on a new belt. Dialed-in!

This is easily my favorite Jackson album. My dad’s copy, still in shrink.

The title track, Fountain of Sorrow, For a Dancer, and Before the Deluge are up with his best, and there’s no Redneck Friend to drag it down.

Thinking about fences, and who matters.

This afternoon I went for a walk w/o a destination. I realized where I was, found a few stones, and paid my respects to the LC. After seeing the crowd on his marker, I found forgotten others, and laid some stones for them, too.
