Wait, I thought the individual tiles were combined into one large texture. Is that the case or not?

I started as a 3D modder on older games and stayed one for a long time, never even tried 2D.. but then I thought, why make a mod when I can create my own game? And now, here I am. 😃 Whats your PC specs? Godot runs well even on older HW.

I always find it fascinating how these tileset textures work. How big is the texture?

Thank you! The game will be something like a tribute to Half-Life. It has its own story and unique mechanics, but the inspiration will be very clear.

Hey fellow Godot dev! It’s been a long time since I first saw the concept of your game on some youtube video and thought it was awesome and now I see you here! Amazing!
Love it! 🙂

That’s so true it hurts. 😂

Hello fellow game dev 🙂

Wow, that’s such a cool idea!👍 Too bad I didn’t think of that too, it would’ve been so useful for my game too 😆

Thanks, I’m dealing with a similar issue in my first person shooter game. If I place my weapon in 3D space, there will also be collision and clipping problems. Most FPS games solve it by rendering the weapon only on the player viewport. But that's specific for FPS games. What engine do you use?

Hey, welcome!
I'm new here too!

is it financially risky? absolutely! but, that's just all indie dev isn't it

I'm developing half-edge just like you would an indie game - it's a tool for artists like myself, and I'm hoping there's others who appreciate the same things I do

People think I'm crazy when I work during the day and then spend almost all my free time developing my indie game. It's my dream, so I'm making it happen. It's risky, maybe nothing will come of it, but so what? Even if just one person plays it and it makes them happy, that’s a success for me.
